Free Medical Treatment

Every one in our country will admit the fact that, the most difficult problem faced by the poor is regarding medical treatment. Islam reminds us of our duty to help the sick and the needy. So it has become imperative for us to assist the poor patients to buy necessary costly medicines prescribed by the doctors. Kannur Muslim Jama-ath also helps the poor patients who require treatment from medical specialists and those who require major surgical operations. Muslim jama-ath finances such patients to be taken from Kannur to far away hospitals at Vellur, Calicut medical college and Kasthurbha medical college at Manipal. Muslim jama-ath spends rupees two lakhs annually for the said purpose.

Medical Centres

Kannur Muslim jama-ath started a permanent free medical center in 1982which provides free checkup, free distribution of medicines and free laboratory examinations. Ten Doctors render meritorious service at our free medical center now. Each day one doctor spends two hours for the free checkup of the poor patient. All sorts of medicines required for patient are distributed free by Muslim jama-ath. We have arranged all facilities including E.C.G apparatus for doctors to checking the patients.

Clinical Lab

A well equipped medical lab exists. This has been modified and facilities expanded by Kuwait Kannur Muslim jama-ath.

X- Ray Unit

Recently we have started an X-ray unit for poor patients in memory of C.H..Abdul Khader it sponsored present Juma-ath committee Treausure B.T. Abdul Kareem Haji.

Provision of Ambulance

An ambulance is made available for poor at a nominal charge

K.M.J Computer Center

We have started a computer center for training for poor students.  This  computer sponserd by Dubai Kannur Muslim Jama-ath committee.

K.M.J. English Accademy

An English Accademy is also working under this instition.  It is sponsored by Kuwait Kannur Muslim Jama-ath Fathaeel Committee.

Library Facility

We maintain a library. Labour Journal and Reference books are made available. Job oriented classes are being organized for the poor and needy

M.J. Hostel

Muslim Jama-ath is running a hostel in their building near Kannur civil station providing residential accommodations for service base to government employees.

EASINGANTE MASJID

A masjid named EASINGANTE MASJID is maintained and managed by the Kannur Muslim jama-ath, suppose to be the first one in Kannur.

Aid for House Repairing for poor

Muslim Jama-ath also gives financial assistance to the poor for repairing their dilapidated houses. We spend Rupees One Lakh annually for the said purpose.

Aid for Education

Muslim Jama-ath is implimenting financial schemes for the benifit of the poor students. The books and other materials are supplied free to poor students for their high school studies on the recommendations from the head of their institution. Financial assistance are also given to poor students for thir higher studies at colleges including Engineering studetns. We assist 12 such students this year. Moreover to encourage students we give Haji O.K. Memorial Cash Award to brilliant stuents. Costly religious books are also supplied to the Deres and Madrassa students for their religious education. We spend Rupees 75,000 annually for the said purpose.

Monthly Pension Scheme

Muslim Jama-ath also executes monthly pension scheme for the benifits of widows and the deserving poor. For this purpose we spend about 1,50,000 Rupees each year.

Aid for Employment

Muslim Jama-ath for the last 5 years has been financing help to the handicaped and to deserving poor to take up self employment. This scheme has enabled some to set up business like kiosks and mobile stationary shops. Certain others have started jobs of their choice. Muslim Jama-ath have decided to extend a special finance out of the collective zakath contribution.

Aid for Marriage of poor

Muslim Jama-ath is executing a scheme under which the poor sections of people are given financial assistance for the marriage of their daughter. This installation spends about Rs. Two lakhs each year for this purpose.

Family Court

Muslim Jama-ath has been conducting a family court on the fashion of Lok Adalat. Several cases pending before the courts for long period and other such other disuptes that may go to the court for adjucation are settled amicably at Jama-ath's family court. Many matrimonial cases and disputes are settled at this family court enabling the spouses to go happy in their life. Further we also conducts a free legal clinic for deserving people with the help of promient Advocates.
